Station life
Thanks to the Hypoport, you can be anything you wish to be! The number of Nanotrasen stations is vast and endless, but they all follow the same structure:
- Command - Those chosen to be commanding officers of each respective part of the ship, all equal under the benevolent rule of the Captain! They may seem high and mighty, but they're Corp-Civs just like you! Yet it is your duty to follow them to the letter!
- Security - While traditionally meant to keep the safety of the crew, the likelihood of death and the invention of cloning have made such a job irrelevant. They protect the station, its assets, and the way of life for trillions! While not as elite, they can handle most things thrown at them! If not, the specialized E-R-T teams are waiting right behind them!
- Medical - In ancient times, the term “Doctor” meant someone with a lengthy degree with vast swaths of knowledge to engage in the practice of helping, but with technology, about anyone can be a Doctor! They operate all the Medical equipment and make sure the right crewmembers get back up and running without a hitch!
- Science - The tried and true research team is Nanotrasen's bread and butter! Helping keep the worlds safe from all distress with the horizon of innovative beauty! The real problem solvers, within corporate vision, of course!
- Engineering - Our wrenchers and fixers! These crewmembers get to play with our fine toys of energy, from all kinds of machines, to keep your station self-sufficient. If something is broken, no matter the condition, the Engineers can and WILL fix it!
- Cargo - The Free arm of the Market; these pushers are why the station turns a profit. They run the station's economy and trade and are responsible for everyone's value! A responsibility every technician holds with great pride, making command proud!
- Service - While we can stimulate the mind, we cannot stimulate the stomach! The cheerful hearts of the service team are what keep the smiles on everyone's faces. Don’t forget the Clown and Mime, reenactors of the ancient Earther media arts!
Enemies of the Corporation
There are some people you must look out for; some of the deranged believe in hurting the world for their own power. Yet they will not prevail, and you can join in to stop them!
Psionic/Noosphere abusers - While magic may “exist”, it has no reliability or control! This is why no single person can handle it, as they will sadly lose their mind!
NeoSov/Innies/Revs - These are people who believe they deserve more than you and want to equalize everyone to take you down with them! A NeoSov is an Anti-Corporate, who wants to create cabals of superiority known as “Work Unions”. Anyone who has a glint in their eye, who believes in individual rights, or the “spirit of revolution” has clearly lost their mind, and should be stopped before they commit unpermitted acts of violence!
Syndicate - A false rumor of a corporate alliance that can face Nanotrasen and “liberate” the corporate worlds. However hard we have tried to reason, many still believe in their repugnant existence. Some of these supporters are so delusional that they will dress up as “members” of this organization and attempt to hurt others for the sake of fulfilling this diluted reality.
There are many, many more who have been misguided, and it is all our duty to show them the right way. Science proves that they have only one true answer to anything, and Nanotrasen is the true solution to the galactic vision!
